Clean Up the Crazy, One Step at a Time
Updated: Aug 1, 2019
Life is crazy busy! Sometimes, I am the energizer bunny and have multiple accomplishments by 9 A.M., but other times, I look at the clock and suddenly realize it is almost dinner time, and I turn around to wonder what I have actually completed.
I mean, life in an RV isn't quite like the magazines and commercials make it out to be - or maybe it is simply that off-grid life is a tad more demanding chore-wise. Regardless of where or how I have lived, everyday living can be hectic!
The house can turn into a chaotic mess if ignored. I can turn into an ugly mess if meals are missed or are not prepared in a timely manner. Finances can get messy if the business is not kept up. People and relationships can become a mess if neglected...
It is time to clean up the crazy, one step at a time!
My husband and I have been trying to clean up our time schedule by making lists of important tasks that need accomplished, goals that need plans, (remembering that a goal without a plan, is simply a dream...), and making time for people that should have our attention.
What have we learned so far? Successful people make to-do lists --
at the beginning of the week, for the coming week;
and at the end of the day, for the morning of the next day.
Check off what was completed, recap, and reconfirm tomorrow's plan.
Sleep well, knowing you are prepared.
This is what we are determining to do.
There is one specific area in which I have been struggling with for years -- meal planning! I do not know how many times I have been informed of the benefits of doing this, but here are some of them:
less chance of grabbing food that isn't nutritionally smart;
wiser spending when proper lists are made and purchases done all together, as opposed to running to the store and impulse buying while shopping hungry;
and reducing overwhelm during the busyness of the day, (wondering what on earth to make for breakfast, lunch, dinner).
So, I started to look for meal plans for our life... Do you know how difficult it is to find these, having dietary issues? I did try, and I finally made the decision to make my own! I am so proud of myself!!
My daughter highly encouraged me to share this with you -- she fully understands how cool this meal plan is.
And I want to share my efforts with you! I am excited that I have made up a weekly Gluten-Free, Keto, THM friendly, Sugar Free, Low Carb menu plan!
Not only is this a great menu to aid in weight loss, but it is purely a healthy way to eat! Lowering our carbohydrate intake helps balance our blood sugar, which affects so many areas of our bodies' health.
AND, for those of us needing to eat gluten free, this is an awesome find!
This week's PDF is absolutely FREE! One week of 3 meals per day, gluten free, low carb, Keto, THM friendly, sugar free...
I have included all the recipes, either via a link, or written below the chart. I have personally tested every one of them, and they are heartily approved by Fern! (Warranted, Fern is not fussy, but he does appreciate good food!) By the way, if you are ever tempted to buy and try the Keto bread (individually wrapped pieces innocently placed next to their delicious fresh muffins) at Goodness Me...see the picture?? Don't do it!
I would love to hear from you! I will work on this every week, all summer long, finding and trying new recipes. I would greatly appreciate input as to any level of interest from my friends. Maybe, just maybe, you might need a little clean up of your crazy too! Just one step at a time, but this could be one step!
If I have interest, I would like to offer a monthly plan of new weekly menus. I would offer this starting in September, when we are more likely to get back into a routine of living... How does $10/month sound to you? I look forward to hearing from anyone interested!
Now this...this IS DELICIOUS!!
